Re: A London-based Scot writes

To save you asking: yes, it really is that childish here :D
In that case, I think I'll fit in just fine. :)

Re: A London-based Scot writes

Actually, can I just pick up on this:
Julian can be made to watch.
I am dubious as to whether anyone can make Julian do anything he doesn't want to. Although, to be fair, I think he'd want to watch the suggested battle, so that particular question would not be settled in this case.

Re: A London-based Scot writes

We open a case of Fonseca 1966 and stand 6 bottles in front of each of us. We start drinking. First one to fall over is the loser.

Julian, old pal. Should I take this bet?

Re: A London-based Scot writes

No wait - hang on! You took Julian's bet. Surely that means you have £20 on you winning? Or is it all just a big misunderstanding?

Perhaps we could do scissors, paper, stone instead. Fewer glasses broken, perhaps.

Re: A London-based Scot writes

Well, I must say, that would make for an interesting first TPF port tasting experience for me. Completely different from what I was hitherto expecting. Still, what the hey. I'm game if Derek is. :D

I assume gentlemen of your standing and calibre insist on Marquis of Queensberry rules?

A London-based Scot writes

Greetings, all! Anne here. I made my first post a week or so ago on a recent Taylor 1955 tasting notes post, but I thought I should avail myself of the opportunity to introduce myself properly here. I described myself on my first post as a long-time lurker, although that may have been a little misle...

Re: 1955 Taylor

Thank you, jdaw.

Yes, I shall wait until then. It rather loses something in the transcription, I think.

Re: 1955 Taylor

Good evening all, I hope you will welcome a comment from a long-time lurker but first-time poster to your hallowed boards. I too was present at the Tiddlywinks Club dinner last weekend, and jdaw1 has asked me to pop in and share my thoughts on the '55 Taylor. He also asked me to share my thoughts on...
