Absolutely!
I'm especially unhappy because I just dug up some real oddball bottles from the '20's :(

Re: Wednesday October 8, 2008

Is the 1924 not Cockburn as well the 1895? Is the lineup still the same?..and what was the story on the 1977? Translation: Sean hasn’t been following this thread, and, rather than read it himself, wants a summary. (Go on: tell me I’m wrong.) You my friend are 100% correct! Thanks for the summ...

Re: Double horizontal of ’83 and ’85, Brooklyn, Sat 13 Sept ’08

Damn..I need to pay more attention here! I thought this horizontal was called off.. :crying: I would have tried to attend. On another note ..be careful about the wine at Vickers in RI, I raided them several years ago and managed to get some decent stuff but it is all stored at super hot temperatures...

Re: Old & Odd, New York, Friday 17th October 2008

I certainly would be interested and I'm sure I have a few Ports that fit the "Old & Odd" title..I know offhand I have a 1962 Dow "Special Reserve" and a 1947 Barros Colheita

I seem to recall seeing dozens of a size larger than a double magnum (imperial or jeroboam) recently in Portugal..I believe I have pictures. The vintage was 1994 I think. It's a shame they are not made available to consumers ..I asked at almost every Port house I went to and was told they are only b...

Yeah..this bottle was remarkably similar to the only other 1940 Port I have ever had (twice) and that was the Neipoort 1940 garrafeira.
More info here http://www.fortheloveofport.com/ftlopfo ... 0+neipoort
The Neipoort garrafeiras are held in glass though ..no?
