1991 De la Rosa VP

Just for fun I tasted this against Morgans.Let me explain this using some modern popular history for me Morgans is the rockers all upfront and strong de la Rosa the mods sophisticated but lacking depth.

Re: Best Port You've Ever Rated?

I've had some very old ports which I enjoy for the moment and history but there is nothing better than a port on the plateau for me national 66 at the tasting(the fonseca was just beaten but in my opinion will improve or last longer)

Re: Name a WOW! port

Firstly I would like to apologise for my lack of input over the last few months,As to the ferreira 1980 from the bottle I tasted it was a good solid port and well worth the money but quite scarce here. The wow for me was a humble LBV Quinta Venteloza 94 superb.

I had an offer sent to me for this port I think it was from farr's but I could be wrong it said that they found this cask some years ago and bottled it.The price was to expensive so I did not take a great deal of notice.

This was the very last bottle from my fathers collection he stopped buying at that point and for some reason he fails to remember why.I remember it being the best example of Croft's 77 I've had.A bit on the light side was my only complaint. All of his bottles have been superb maybe storage and bought...
