As this is looking like a small gathering should we perhaps consider having it at The Tappit Hen, which opens on the previous evening?

Re: Cockburn Vertical, Tue 2nd Oct 2018

It is perhaps significant that ten days after this tasting no one has posted a review of the evening, so here goes. I did not take detailed notes but on the night of the tasting I sent the following summary to a friend on WhatsApp... "A good tasting, not a great tasting. The old wines were tired - 1...

Re: 3 bottles of vintage port

Hi Sue,

You have my email address so if you send me the pictures I will happily post them for you.

Can you please tell us roughly where you (or the bottles) are and what you know about how and where they have been stored?

† Yes yes, of course, even if there were already several F66s, another would be welcome.
Thank you.

Do we need a 1966 Horizontal?

This thread might be the inspiration we needed to pull a few 1966 VPs out to see how they are doing. If there is enthusiasm for this I can donate Graham and our new friend MrFrodo has a Dow that would be his ticket. Any more? Where and when? Perhaps this is the inspiration we needed for a 1966 horizontal?

Suggestion: Lm = Quinta das Lamelas Fine by me. Also, I for Infantado doesn’t fit the general pattern of reserving the few single-letter names for the few ancient famous blends of large volume and fame. Should it be In or If or It or Id ? Unless there’s strong and quick dissent, it’s going to be In...

I thought one of the points of the default food thread was that the default order was taken as the order unless the individual actively and explicitly specifies something different?
