Clear golden yellow. Lemon and apricot on the nose. In the mouth, lively, with some heat, warm apricot with a slightly dry finish. Refreshing, with a long finish.

The BFT 2021 tasting sample
Lovely gleaming, clear amber. Nose has citrus and caramels with butterscotch and popcorn. In the mouth the citrus edge is complemented by the butterscotch syrup, leading to a long, long finish of oranges. Complex and rich. This port would stand up well to blue cheese.

Red-brown, slightly cloudy. Ripe apricot on the nose. Oranges with quite a full mouthfeel, not much acidity present, so heads for a softer finish.

Clear, radiant copper colour. Toffee and vanilla on the nose. In the mouth, the toffee and caramel majors, with hints of orange in the wings. Smooth and refined!

2021 The BFT tasting sample
Totally clear, vibrant butterscotch yellow. Faint citrus notes on the nose. In the mouth, fresh, luxurious, faint hints of vanilla and pineapple. Freshness gives way to a dry finish. This would be a fine aperitif relaxing on a sun lounger on a warm summer evening!

Re: Taylor's Terra Feita Vertical, Date TBC, B&F
*For completeness I should add that there are mentions to be found of several other Terra Feita wines. The Book suggests 1907 and 1911 as tasted by the late, great, Michael Broadbent. vintageport.se suggests there is a 1914 Terra Feita. However, no-one (else) seems to have ever encountered a bottle...

Re: 1871 Cabral Port
I notice there are also 4 lots of 11/12 bottles of Cabral 40YO Tawny in the sale which look, to my inexpert eye, as though they were bottled in the 1960s. I don't intend to bid for any of these lots, but if someone buys one of the dozens and would like to share the lot with others, I would be inter...
