Re: VWP and b.f.t. Quevedo tasting

Simon,
Thank you for the shameless plug.
A great effort so far between Oscar, the BFT team and VWP. It's an experiment - so fingers crossed that it will work, that everyone enjoys it, and that we raise a little money for charity along the way.

Re: Y2K Tasting Tuesday 17th March

Alas Boris says I should not attend..... One of the children in George's class has been taken ill - so I won't risk it. Sorry - I cannot get the Fonseca or Warre to B&F in time. To put a little flesh on the bone - there is a confirmed case and also a suspected case in my children’s social circles s...

Port legends - Iconic ports of the 20th C (or even 19th). E.g. Ck12, Cr45, T48, N31, F66, F27 etc. Small gathering... perhaps 8 max??

Re: Y2K Tasting Tuesday 17th March

As Infantado is not of the highest repute, I should adopt as well. What is available? We are missing Warre from the line-up. Perhaps you could adopt that from Tony? Sorry - I no longer have the Warre. Would two half bottles W suffice? Let me know what you want - I have Ni, RP, V, C, S, Burmester(ha...

Just checked, and all I have from either is Wiese & Krohn Colheita 1957.
Thanks for checking - I'm trying to avoid the Colheitas - which these shippers are more famous for. Otherwise it would be easy.

Kopke and Krohn Mini-Vertical(s) Thursday 9th July

I would like to organise a Kopke/Krohn Vintage Port mini-vertical in July. A small delegation from the Port Forum went to St Luiz last year where we had a splendid tour of the estate and a 3 hour "lunch" and tasting. A, year on, I thought it would be fitting to have a Kopke tasting. The Krohn is an ...

Re: A 1970 horizontal, Tiers 1 & 2, Friday 9 October 2020

Moving on to assembling the cast. Tier 1 should be easy... From Tier 2 I have: - Burmester (Library release) - BBR Own Selection (same case 2 bottles) - Delaforce (same case 2 bottles) - Roeda (Magnum) - Gonzalez Byas (same case) - Messias Cachao (same case) - I am pretty sure Messias only produced ...

Re: A 1970 horizontal, Tier 3, Thurs 8 October 2020

This is going to be a challenge to put this together - the saving grace is that it will only need to be one bottle.

At the moment from Tier 3 - I have Royal Oporto, Dalva, Santos Junior and Borges. I'll put them aside as I suspect they will be adopted. I'll keep an eye out for any others.
