list of declared houses

Does anyone have a list of how many houses that has declared each year? I have come across some such list but most not correct. We have tried to put together such a list but with much uncertainty. If someone at this forum has such a list it would be much appreciated.

May I ask why you think this is fake? It is good to know how to spot the fakes so I would really like to know how you spotted this one.

Re: An interesting bottle - Quinta da Eira Vehla '43

Interesting report. We did taste the Eira Velha 1943 a couple of years ago. However, we did not notice the interesting details you did about the bottle. I think we were more focused on the contents :) Perhaps your would be interested to know that Quinta Eira Velha was bought by Cable Rope in 1893 an...

Re: Cockburn 1977

I'll be interested in buying some Ck77. However, there will be no release in Sweden so I will have to ship from the UK. Does anyone have any new information on the subject?

Re: Port in Gothenburg

Hi djewesbury, Nice to hear that you have found your way to Sweden. If your trips were directed to Malmoe instead of Gothenburg we would very much like to welcome you to join us and taste some port. If you are not able to come to Malmoe, I am do make some infrequent trips to Gothenburg and if you wo...

Re: Effectiveness of overwaxing

That is the same experience i have, it takes about an hour to melt. I did the same way in a sauce pan a first. However, I find it easier to melt it in the oven. Nowadays I melt the wax in a glass jar in the oven for about an hour (150 Centigrades). It works all right but it takes a long time. I find...

Re: Effectiveness of overwaxing

Great to hear. I have also bought the sealing wax from British wax and it is really great when applied. The only problem is that it takes quite a long time to heat the wax and complete the waxing procedure. May I ask how you heat the wax? How long time does it take for you heat it?

Re: LBV:s – representative of the shipper's vintage port?

The selection of mature vintage port at the swedish monopoly is extremely limited, so I have been focusing a bit on the LBV:s until I can get ahold of some older bottles from abroad. Thanks, Björn Hello Björn, you are right that the selection of genuinely old vintage port is quite limited at the Sw...

There is no back label and the capsul is red with a crown. I do not know were it was sold but it was recently bought in Germany. Is there a back label? If so can you post a pic of it. And a pic of the capsule if it has any writing or markings that is different from the main label already posted. Als...

Re: Unknown bottles

I am intrigued as well about Junior blend. BBR 1970 was Warre but "junior" blend I have not heard about. I have assumed that this was a specific barrel of the ordinary Warre 1970 vintage, perhaps a selection of a lower standard barrel. pink capsules were used by Berry's in a number of thei...
