5pm decanted the 97 for sediment and within 15 minutes poured back into bottle and recorked.

ps - sorry to mess up the placemats but can i bring a friend? i'll also tow the .375 2000...which is NOT decanted yet...

pss - he doesn't have to be on the placemat and i swear he is potty trained.... :lol:

those two are the same label, i should have used better comparisons.

there is also an 2000 available, which got higher "professional" ratings. and it is a .375 if we seem to have too much wine on our hands..?? please advise, as i need to purchase tomorrow...

i searched, i swear, but found no notes for this. impossible, no? :? :o

anyways, $38 well spent.

drank over a 3 night period. loads of pecans, orange peel & apricots. 2nd & 3rd night started showing more carmel, figs & brown sugar. perfectly balanced with no detectable heat(20% too!).

tasted twice in the last 3 months with consistant notes of: nose of black cherry, black tea & blackberries. palate of figs plums cherries & chocolate. my impressions are that these two bottles were fully mature... :shock:
