Re: Pathe News Archive

This may be a trivial remark, but the music would drive me crazy if I had to hear for a whole day. BTW: Does anyone know what tunes are played today?

Re: Experience with "Portugal Vinyards"?

Hm, that's good point. Thanks for your feedback. I will report back on my experience with them. But I won't place my first order before fall/autumn (there are still some other things to put my money in first, so right now I only do mock shopping as a diversion).

Re: UK earthquake

The scale on the map is in kilometres. Isn't this unusal or do only the Americans still use miles?

Experience with "Portugal Vinyards"?

Does anyone have any experience with Portugal Vinyards:
http://www.portugalvineyards.com/ ?
They seem to have some ports that cannot be found at Garrafeira Nacional, though seem a bit more expensive than GN at the same time.

Re: Latest buy

Good on you Gerwin, I lost the 18x Ware's  One minute before ending they came over me. Tried to get it anyway but when the price came up to €400,- I stopped. Bugger!!! Martin I'm sorry to hear that. But if you're interested in the '98 Warre Cavadindha (which was included in the lot), have a lo...

In March last year I did an internet search for older Niepoort LBVs. I found this one at "Irmgard's Wein-Capinet". I took their last three bottles for 21 Euro each all in.

Ok, I've got a riddle this time:
If you need it, you throw it away. If you don't need it anymore, you get it back. What is it?

2000 Niepoort LBV

Bottled unfiltered in 2005. D+0h: medium amount of deposit in the tea filter and in the bottle (though some large chunks here), smells very pleasantly and intensively of currant D+5,5h: purple red, on the rim ruby red, smells of raspberry, eucalyptus and of minerality, medium body, not that sweet, m...

Re: One quiz at a time

OK. Here is my question:
There are two countries in the world that have a similar flag. So when the flag of country A is bleached out by the sun, it is turned into the flag of country B.
Name the two countries.
I'm off to bed now, so will not post replies before lunch today.

Re: One quiz at a time

Excellent. Chianti Classico or one of the other subregions? It was just a simple Chianti (not Classico) of a producer I didn't know. But as it was offered in the box were wines are sold off that are taken out of the shelf it didn't matter. It was reduced to just 3 Euros. So I thought I could make n...
