Re: 2007 Niepoort Vintage Port

Nose: very spicy, needs time to develop in a real port nose
Taste: a strong and deep port with a lot of fruit
Aftertaste: long

A very nice port which will develop in the future

Re: Niepoort Vertical Germany Nov 27th

I was very surprised by the very high standard of all ports. Even the ports from smaller vintages were perfect.

This sounds fantastic. The 22nd is also good for me. Thanks a lot.

Re: Graham’s & Quinta dos Malvedos: 23th March 2010

This sounds a great tasting, which I would like to join if there is some space available. Unfortunately I have only Malvedos 1995 which is not mentioned yet and Graham 1980. But perhaps WS1 will sell me some of his Grahams so that I can bring some more of this stuff.

Re: Poll: 1991 or 1992?

I just checked the Mayson Book for the declarations of 1991 and 1992 (without SQVP). Both years were declared by Burmester, Calem, Kopke, Nieport and Osbourne. But I think this is really a great comparison for an offline. I would even hopp over to England from good old Germany fot such an evant. Dirk

Re: 2007 "E" Vintage Port

The last of the sample which WS1 brought to Germany.

The nose is not as present as in the other samples but very portlike - just as it has to be.

A fantastic port. This seems like a real port. Very dry in the aftertaste.

Could be Taylors.

Another one from the legendary RAF club 70 tasting

Hello to everyone! Finally I found this page. I am just another port lover who met some of you already :D on the 1970 port tasting last january in the RAF club in London. I just like Blue Stilton a lot and Blue Stilton without Port is something that does not work. Therefore I started drinking and bu...
