Listen as a supporter of Newcastle you have to have a strong stomach for the rollercoaster ride we've been on.But as I hate to admit it I hope Man U win against the blues.Ronaldo what a player one of the best in the world let down by trying to get an equity card.

I thought you made the points quite well to be honest this thread would not have gotten so far if you'd been here to reply first off.I now feel slightly guilty on the biased accusation. But I've looked back on some of your reply's when the port industry is challenged and realise it's a balanced view ...

To be honest I think that the tasting notes are quite important It is the person or person's who've spent the time putting them together for this website ie Julian and others who should make the decision.I personally don't have a problem with it because I have put in no effort apart from my own tast...

The only part of me that feels uncomfortable about this thread is Roy has not been here to reply. As I stated Roy's tasting notes I believe are not biased I believe if you are friendly with a shipper or shipper's it has some bearing that is only human nature. The FTLOP site rarely or maybe never say's...

I think this is a valid point we all have financial commitments some more than others but whatever vintage port is an expensive hobby other ports less so.I would like to think whatever port we drink on this forum either novice or expert will be given the same attention on the forum and I think it has.

The point I was trying to make is that a critic does not rely on a few particular shippers for his sole buisness yes it is obvious that relationships will develop between critics and producers but they don't rely on them for income. But as Alan has said he hit the nail on the head when he mentioned a...

I don't beleive Roy's tasting notes are biased either but whenever you need a shipper or shipper's as part of your buisness there will be a conflict of interest.
