I broadly agree with Alan as long as it's a two way thing I think there will be no problem.I thought the posting of the harvest tour was a bit of an advert which would cause eruptions if done vice versa.For example if we all organised a trip to the Douro would the ftlop let us post our trip to anyon...

I've had a couple mostly from auctions in europe.the last one bought was a 1939 father in laws birth year I paid £35.I was a bit worse for wear on a 1941 I drank previously :oops: But from what I remember It was different a bit like a very old past it vintage port tawny in colour.

Derek two of the bottles we had that night were Burmester 1900 colheita and the 1917. The Burmester was a typical colheita but the 1917 was extremely light I'm no expert in this field but I beleive both were bottled quite close in years but the contrast was quite extreme.Does this mean that Niepoort...

Well I'm preparing myself for the north east derby.I'm in two minds port or wine.Port if it gets exciting will be drunk rapid style and I'll be tempted to open another so wine might be a safer bet.

I have very little experiance on this part of vintage port.Apart from the Symingtons and the other big hitters,Which is your top three of the smaller not so well known Quinta's that are consistently making good port.

I've had a few messias wines which are priced at between £4 and £10 pounds retail but I don't know if I've had that paticular one they seem to concentrate more on wine than port.

Although I had some mixed cases of wine and a wine cooler plus a surgical cork removal kit the most interesting to me was a book called the wine behind the label Michael Broadbent is ok if you buy first growths on a regular basis but my funds don't stretch that far.This book surprised me the vinyard...
