It was a decisive result. Though i am now humbly sipping a sample of T35 on the Thames Clipper with a view of Big Ben striking midnight.

Bottled by Symington Family Estates, bottled 2009. Light translucent brown, slightly pink still through the centre. Swirling shows viscosity, and a rich and sweet nose with a nice dose of heat. In the mouth, a huge hit of sweetness backed up by a lovely acidity. Brown sugar, candied peel and raisins...

Warre's Warrior and Waitrose Victoria Sponge Cake. An excellent combination happened upon by chance last night. A lovely aftertaste of marzipan even though neither show this by themselves.

I've seen the ones on Virgin Wines and had good results too. I get the impression however that a lot of wines are sold relabelled with a quickly made up brand so as to avoid people being put off by a cleanskin style label.

Tried making beer last year, using those cans and then later doing it from scratch. Unfortunately the complaints regarding the smell of brewing put paid to that idea! My regimen is a daily ride to and from work, 6.5 miles each way. It's also good for the alertness what with all the potholes, buses taking up all the road, black cabs doing u-turns, blind pedestrians etc.
