this is genuinely pleasant wine now, the heat having faded. But I would struggle to describe it as port.

Very dark indeed. Very dry. Very good. Long lived? Not sure. But, very good now and over the next five to ten years.

Young porty nose. A bit tart on the palate. Not lovely. Happily, some people liked it.

Pale rim. But, rich wine. Lovely port which will comfortably last a little while longer. A deserved equal #2 WOTN.
