There’s a space in The Book which should be filled with a picture of a Wine Society Label of a pre-1958 Vintage Port. I have one such picture already, Warre 1934. Please, do any readers have another? Or a bottle which could be photographed for this purpose?
Thank you.
Wanted: picture of pre-1958 Wine Society label
Re: Wanted: picture of pre-1958 Wine Society label
I had a quick look on the website and found this article, which in turn links to The Society's List of July 1914. If no labels are forthcoming perhaps the Port list on pages 15 and 16 or the picture of the bottle cellar on page 30 might fit the bill?
Alternatively, one of the Society's ex-employees who is now the world's most prominent Port journalist might have a bottle or two in his cellar or might know someone who does.

Thank you, but for this purpose another pre-1958 label would be particularly welcomed.DRT wrote:I had a quick look on the website and found this article, which in turn links to The Society's List of July 1914.
