I'm afraid Fenwick's do not have a website that I know of but the price was £18.

Rubby, good one on the Vesuvio! I tried to find it desperately around Utrecht before we left, but no luck.

I’ve bought the Hutcheson 1980 (if it’s excellent I’ll consider dragging one across the pond for the 1980 horizontal), and a Rozès LBV 1994 for the LBV tasting.

It was a lucky find on Marktplaats (for the non Dutchies: a public classifieds site) and I thought ┚¬ 50 was not a bad deal. Had to go to Schiedam to pick it up though.
The only shop I have found that sells one, wants ┚¬ 68 for it. Other shops sell Vesuvio, but never the '94.

LadyR and I enjoyed our first chance of indulging in the fine are of "port-buying" after months and months of living on a strict budget. So we bought:
- 3x magnum Warre 1977
- 1x 0,75 Warre 1977
- 3x Fonseca 1977
- 4x Graham 1983

Excellent! Is that in Oman, or are you visiting somewhere? If you are in Oman, that sounds like the foreseeable special occasions sorted out, now you just need a decent House Port.

Bought in Oman? Not a chance. We bought this over the internet from a UK retailer, who was so kind to deliver it to our storage in the Netherlands.

Still looking for a house port... but we'll have some people bring a couple of bottles of LBV with them when they come back from their family visit in Holland. That should give us some temporary relief.

Ronnie,
Do you have any pointers for me, where I could find descent Port at a reasonable price? I've already found some places, but it's never enough. Never enough.

And which UK seller do you have good experiences with, shipment wise?

Did it again....... just bought a bottle of Noval 66, for 60£ :)
Any time not spend drinking port, is a waste of time.

I've just bought some bottles of Smith Woodhouse 1997 for under £10 per bottle, in bond.

They shall stay there for another 10 years!

:D
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

So will mine  - but the 6 half bottles of Graham's 1985 I bought two days ago are unlikely to see 2010

And so will mine, I bought some bottles of Fonseca 2000 a week ago and those will probably stay in storage for 20 years

2 TFg. Vargellas 2005 $47/ea
2 Croft Roeda 2005 $43/ea
2 Fonseca Guim. 2005 $44/ea
1 SWC LBV 1984 $30
1 Croft 2003 (was supposed to be 3*) $70
1 Grahams 2003** $80
1 Qd Noval 2003** $75

* - apparently there's a spanish dockworkers strike hindering some distributor's access to portugese wines. Sadly they didn't have enough Croft to fulfill my order, so I ** picked up two alternatives. That makes 4 Croft03, 3 Noval03, and 1 Grahams03. All I'm missing are a few Fonseca's.

Bottles purchased via Liquor Outlet Wine Cellars
Also got two Argiano Brunellos from 03. They declassified it because of the scandal. I've 3 of the declassified ones (just released), so I'm making two "historical novelty" 2-packs and drinking the last bottle.

I thought it was great when I tried it about a year ago and I would happily buy this at $30 a bottle.

And having built it up so much, I hope you like it too!
