Yeah that'd be reasonable for a case of 500 ml bottles. It's crazy for a single, though.

My local Sainsbury's has Cruz 2002 LBV (bottled 2007) on offer at half price - which I think was £7 for a bottle. I'm posting this in response to the positive reviews it's had on this forum recently.

You may have missed my post about this earlier in January here - probably because it was the last of the previous page.

If you can't find sufficient quantity in-store, it also seems to be available at that price on their website for orders delivered by 6 March. I was going to give another single bottle a go before buying in any quantity....but have not yet got round to it.

Quite nice but I may prefer the Dow's Midnight although Asda have put that up to £5.86 for a 500ml bottle. Need to try both in a sitting as the taste buds are playing up recently.

I have a small parcel of 1992 Bomfim; is this of interest to the Port Forum?

Dow’s 1992 Quinta do Bomfim £195 in bond per 12-OC £224 ex VAT (£268.80 inc VAT)

with thanks
James
Subsequent email exchanges confirmed that this offer is for case quantities only and that 5 cases are available with an option on another 5. These have not yet been posted on Seckford's list, so we are getting first chance to snap them up.

1 case is already taken.

Please post here if you are interested in either a half or a full case. If we have an equal number of people interested in half cases the orders can be combined. I am happy to place the order but payment and logisitcs will be down to each purchaser (or purchasing pair) to arrange for themselves.

I will be responding to James by close of business UK time on Friday.

Waitrose are currently discounting Warre 2001 Traditional LBV (bottled 2005) by £5, shelf price is now £18 - not cheap, but cheap enough to tempt me to buy one to open tonight.

I had one not too long ago and liked it. Give it a good, long decant though - mine was best after 24 hours. If our pattern holds, I suspect you will rate it around 85 points. (It seems like I'm usually 3-5 points higher than you for most Ports.)

Mine was also rather expensive. It was $32 on the shelf ($27 after a discount for buying 6 bottles) and I can normally get LBVs for around $20.

Thanks for the tip. I might pop 'n' pour a couple of glasses tonight and then come back to the decanter tomorrow evening when it will have had the benefit of 24 hours air time.

(My first non-"hello" post)
I noticed quite alot of Dow QdBonfim 1992 being talked about/bought.
Would just like to inform you guys that it's on sale at £160/cs ex-VAT (DP I think) at
http://www.welovefinewines.com/dow-quin ... -1992-case.
Delivery free for £200+ orders.
Sadly I personally have nowhere to store 2 cases and am not willing to pay for delivery, otherwise I'd have bought plenty myself.
Happy hunting!
(on another note, couldn't find any of the Croft 2004 LBV in my 2 tescos :( )

Hmm, that's a good spot. I've unfortunately paid for mine now and that link would have saved me over £150... :-(

Paid over the odds some weeks ago and waiting on delivery date of "the week after Easter" which is now going to be "think they are coming in to us this week".

Boo.
