Experience with "Portugal Vinyards"?

Post by AW77 »

Does anyone have any experience with Portugal Vinyards:
http://www.portugalvineyards.com/ ?
They seem to have some ports that cannot be found at Garrafeira Nacional, though seem a bit more expensive than GN at the same time.

No, but a look at their website raises red flags. I find it hard to believe one store is carrying in stock on a shelf that many different SKU's. Over 219 for Colheita's and 360 for VP's alone. That doesn't include all the other Ports, dry wines, Muscat's, and Madeira's.

I suspect they just list everything their distributors have on their lists and when you order they try and get it for you. I see this in the States from time to time.

Hm, that's good point. Thanks for your feedback. I will report back on my experience with them. But I won't place my first order before fall/autumn (there are still some other things to put my money in first, so right now I only do mock shopping as a diversion).
