Quinta de la Rosa

Here are a few pictures of Quinta de la Rosa taken during my trip to the Douro in April 2008.

The Quinta incorporates a small hotel and is situated just 2km west of Pinhao on the north bank of the Douro. The rooms are quite basic but are very clean and comfortable and at 85 Euro per night for a double room are quite good value given the convenient location.

Anyone who has any information or questions about this Quinta or their wines please feel free to add to this thread.

Did you talk to them about their hopes and expectations for 2006 or 2007 vintages?

My wife and I spent 2 days at la Rosa in 2007 and then 4 more in 2008. Wonderful B&B. The patio is absolutely spectacular, and the walk back into Pinhao isn't bad at all.

They also serve dinner, but not every night and only with fairly significant advance warning because they attempt to coordinate everyone's interest into a single evening. The cook is very good, though, so it's worth it to schedule one dinner at the Quinta if you get the chance.

Although I already learned that the tpf-lers are not the sporty types, here is a great pool as well:
