Mature colour, brick red, 90% opaque. Fresh nose, very minty with hints of cinnamon in the fruit. Soft and velvety texture; sweet fruit with the classic spices expected on a mature port. A wonderful palate, full of fruit but with a sweetness offset by the golden acidity. The tannins are well integrated and easy to overlook. The lengthy aftertaste goes through multiple phases and has an immense duration. Very impressive. 93/100. 06-May-15. Decanted ½ hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
