2005 Churchill Gricha

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Churchill Graham. Deep red with hints of magenta on the narrow rim. Fresh on the nose, full of spring air with hints of violet and lilac perfume. Soft entry with a first impression of sweet fruit, then the tannins dry the teeth but never to the extent of overwhelming the sweet fruit. The sweet fruit continues through to the aftertaste before the tannic core takes control and monopolises the senses for the first phase of the finish. The chewy cheeks last a while before fading to allow a faint and fragrant finish to linger for some time. 87/100. 06-May-15.
