NV Ferreira Tawny 20YO

Deep chestnut brown in colour, 60% opaque. Restrained on the nose, showing a little VA and furniture polish. Medium in texture, slow to deliver on the palate but on the mid-palate there is a nice acidity that keeps the freshness and allows a vibrant olive and kumquat flavour to fill the mouth. The aftertaste is huge, full of bitter-sweet Seville orange. The finish is long and sticky that fades very slowly, A lovely sweet tawny port. 90/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
