1975 Feuerheerd Colheita (bottled 2015)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2015. Pale ochre colour, 10% opaque. Lovely nose of fresh pineapple and peaches. Sweet pineapple entry with a lovely cleansing acidity that gives a great balance. Delicious layering with the mid-palate delivering an array of fresh orange and lime. Great palate. A big aftertaste that is slightly soapy but then a long finish follows which has a delicious hint of bitterness. Impressive colheita. 91/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
