Deep red, opaque centre, no purple - and perhaps even a little browning. A lovely nose of roses and raisins, surprisingly developed. Smooth entry with really no rough edges. Raspberry coulis on the palate, slightly under-ripe which balances the sweetness very well. The tannins are gentle and well integrated. The aftertaste is of bramble jelly and black coffee, big and mouthfilling. The finish is very fine, going through multiple phases. This is surprisingly easy to drink now but will also improve with more time in the cellar. 90/100. May 2015.
