1994 Pocas Colheita (bottled 2014)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2014. Deep amber peach in colour, 30% opaque. Powerful oxidative nose of ground almonds and pistachio paste. Flavoursome entry, of smoky dried apricots and brazil nuts. A touch of coffee shows on the mid-palate before a wave of fresh orange acidity cleanses everything. Lovely coffee and toffee aftertaste and a lingering nutty finish. Very nice. 89/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
