F70 from DJ, decanted 16:00. Dark red, 50% opaque. Soft full red-cherries tip-top port. Wonderful port. Obvious WOTN, and unanimously so.

Guessed to be perfect-condition Taylor 1977. Actually F70.

Decanted 4 hours, 30% opacity, red brown. Nose warm and sweet. Gentle entry, very smooth mouthfeel, some heat builds to the finish. Bursting with cherry. Very very good indeed. My WOTN also. Guessed to be G70.

I decanted this at 4pm as I thought it might be at its peak earlier on in its post-decanted life. It didn't disappoint. It was light red with a touch of brown, had a dusty sour cherry nose, and some lovely sourness in the mouth. Really very full of cherries, and very silky. More, please.

Mature red, a firm colour; 50% opaque. A wonderful, mature nose, fruity and spicy, full of cinnamon and nutmeg. Smooth and lovely on the palate with great presence and full of flavour; dominated by the sweet fruit that has great concentration but always with a wonderful spiciness to it. The tannins are fully resolved but the fruit is balanced by soft acidity. The finish is lovely and lingering, full of sweet fruit. This is a very lovely port. Served blind this was guessed to be Fonseca 1966. 94/100.
