T66, decanted 08:00. For some reason I wrote nothing (was I channelling the absent DRT?), so this from memory. Dark red, 50% opaque. Palate had a slightly mocca-esque bitterness at the start, followed by smooth luscious red-fruited Porty goodness. Delicious. Voted by me equal-WOTN with the F77 and Cr70, but others thought this T66 a clear-cut favourite.

Decanted 11 hours, 35% opacity, rich red. Nice full mouthfeel, red fruits, some heat builds. Well-balanced and good structure, this one will be good for a good few years to come! First of a batch of 6 bought at auction a few months ago, very pleased that it was in good shape!

Mid-red in shade but deep in intensity of colour, mature but not yet bricking. Lovely on the nose, lively and active in the glass with sharp cranberry and violets - great to just sit and smell this in the glass. Smooth entry with a lovely texture, the cranberry is still present but has a wonderful floral persona to it. The fruit, flowers and acidity combine to give a palate with so much complexity. The aftertaste blossoms with just a touch of heat to the bitter-sweet cranberry finish. This is a great port with a long future ahead of it, still showing some of the grassiness of early maturity on the late finish. Served blind this was guessed to be Warre 1970. 93/100.
