Pop and pour. An intense, opaque black-red colour. Blackberry, figs and prunes on the nose. A very rich, sweet, mouth-filling palate of black fruit. Perhaps some anise on the medium length finish. Fine tannins present yet integrated with little heat apparent. Another few years would only lead to more pleasure. Very good port that was richer than expected from this house.
