This port provided my single point for the evening, as I guessed at a Tesco 97, so thank you to Julian for bringing it along to help my cause. It had a very vanillary nose and struggled against the other wines of the evening. It was also noted to have had a very new cork. I have previously enjoyed a bottle or two of the Tesco 94 with much more satisfaction.

My Tesco was switching from the 1994 to the 1997, so three of the older vintage were bought, and brought as a second bottle for entertainment. It failed to entertain. Dark red, 90% opaque. Vanilla on nose; undescribed unpleasantness in glass.
