Mature red colour, but appearing to be in early maturity; 40% opaque. A lovely nose, combining sweet fruit with mace and nutmeg - in fact, a great nose. Thick, sweet and perfumed on the palate with great impact and a huge presence. Lifted flower perfume but with a counterpoint bitter edge to the fruit. A huge burst of heat on the aftertaste precedes a very long and very fine finish. Very fine port. Served blind this was guessed to be Taylor 1966. 94/100. 27-Oct-15. 2 hour decant.

Cr55, brought blind by CPR. Glorious red, 50% opaque. Palate of rich red fruit, then extreme bitterness, both sensations being intense. Hopelessly mis-guessed as GC70.
