Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Half bottle from the Wine Society. Powerful, fruity and very impressive. 92/100. Drunk 15-Dec-15. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

D66 A half bottle of Dow 1966 to accompany the set up for the 75@40 tasting as part of an new tradition that Tom initiated. Bottle from the wine society. Beautiful red, clear body. Thinning on the rim. Good berry fruits and cherry on the nose and body of the taste, with a bit of heat on the finish to round off a lovely smooth port. A great way to start the occasion.
