1847 Unknown Shipper
Believed to be from the 1847 vintage due to the similarity to other bottles acquired at the same time which carried legible hand-written labels.

Deep olive brown with a green rim; hazy and opaque. Gentle nose of oranges and tamarind mixed with powerful woodsmoke. Smooth and sweet on the palate with bitters appearing mid-palate before the fresh orange acidity appears. Big and mouthfilling on the palate. 84/100. Drunk 16-Dec-15. Pop 'n' pour.

Drunk at Lunch at Otto's on Wednesday 16 December 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
