1960 Dow

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From a burgundy bottle magnum. Mature brick red colour, 70% opaque. Delicious wild strawberries on the nose and a tiny bit of heat. Soft and sweet entry with a lovely balance. Lots of spices mixed in with the wild strawberries and the overall impression is surprisingly sweet for Dow. Delicious on the finish, a little hot at first and the heat only fades slowly to eventually allow the tannins and youthful features to shine through. A very long finish on this nice port. 89/100.
