Bottled in 1927, recorked in 1973. From the Niepoort family cellar. Barley sugar brown, 30% opaque. Smelling gently of pistachio paste, distinctly colheita-like. Masses of clover honey but with a great delicacy and poise, a wonderful elegance. Time and air reveals more floral elements on the palate. There is a touch of heat on the aftertaste before the long, long honeyed finish. This is a beautiful port. Served blind this was guessed to be a white colheita from the 1930s. 94/100.
