A bottle bought from the dining room of the East India Club, who had cellared them since being shipped to the UK, to accompany dinner. Deeply coloured and opaque in the glass. A lovely shade of red. Very closed on the nose at first but opened up a little with time in the glass. Softly textured entry, rich and deep; fully flavoured with deep rich black chocolate and dark cherries - very powerful palate. A long finish which shows the tannins that are hinted at on the palate, a finish which is deep and powerful but of medium length. This is a lovely and impressive port, probably the youngest Taylor 1985 I have had recently. 93/100. Drunk 13-Jan-16. Decanted 1 hour.

T85. Dark red, 70% opaque. Big, but still a little closed. Dry plums. Needs time in glass.

After the time in the glass, I forgot to write more. I recall it being excellent.
