25% opacity, brown-orange. Nice mouthfeel, heat and acidity late on the palate. Good structure for a '63. Oranges in the mouth. Later on this port improved a little further.

Deep red and mature appearance, 40% opaque. Spiced and lively on the nose, full of sweet rose petals and red cherries; attractive but less developed than the Butler Nephew 1960 shown alongside this port. Harsher on the palate than the Butler Nephew 1960; hot and hinting of sweet fruit - redcurrants and cranberries - and with a growing dose of sherbet lemon acidity. The sherbet lemons dominate the aftertaste and lead to a rather odd, saccharine infused raspberry flavoured finish of good length. 88/100. Drunk 08-Feb-16. Decanted 1 hour.

Cr63 A lovely mature port. Maybe fading slightly, but still very red in colour. A slight tawnying to the taste, but with good balance and welcome heat and spice on a long finish.
89/90 Points

Cr63. Red, 40% opaque. Palate of red cherries and raspberries. Soft, very rich for age. Later the raspberries had become more prominent.
