Clear very deep dark red colour with light brown rim. Somewhat dull in colour compared to the 97 Vesuvio. The nose holds some dark fruit and spice aromas . On the palate it feels slightly hot/alcoholic and thin lacking in complexity. There is a good acidity here but overall I get a feeling of imbalance. Dia- 89/100- 24/02/2016

75% opacity, dark red. Nose a bit stewey. Sweet, light, lack of structure. Some mild tannins but no acidity. One of the weaker tasted this evening.

V96 80% opacity. Big fruits on the initial taste, but a slight dullness and shorter finish than some.

Mature red colour with a medium rim and an opaque centre. Some toffee on the nose, mixed with red apples; fresh, attractive and growing in the glass. Restrained on the palate, with generous charcoal tannins in a sweet strawberry and redcurrant mid- and late-palate. A delicious woody aftertaste and a finish of canteloupe melon. 88/100.

V96. Dark dark red. Nose has dark plum and tannins. Palate had the Vesuvio plums, and tannins, but was very dry.
