85% opacity, deep red. Sweet floral notes and chocolate on the nose. Heat mid to late palate with a tannic finish. Mid-weight, quite sweet, chocolate. Missing some balance. Nevertheless I did enjoy this port...would like to try another time as I suspect this could be very good.

V01 90% opacity. Beautifully smooth, with a wonderful structure, where you could taste the tannins rounding it off and holding it all together. Will be wonderfull once it has matured.

Deep red with a wide rim. Closed on the nose. Restrained red fruits on entry, with soft yet noticeable tannins. Soft and fragrant fruit dominates the mid-palate although still a touch closed. A lovely, lively aftertaste with chewy raspberry and lots of tannins. Difficult to score, but hinting at future pleasure. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

V01. Dry. Spearmint, with dark plum. Needs time.
