Dark honey brown in colour, slightly hazy in appearance. Very little on the nose with hints of apricot and tangerine, oxidised. Smooth and soft in texture with barley sugar on the palate, with a gentle bitterness. Good acidity giving a pleasant lime and grapefruit undertone to the sugaryness. The lime, grapefruit and some hyacinth grows on the palate. The aftertaste is peppery with a long lime zest finish that is bitter and intense. Very long. A much better port than expected based on the appearance. Served blind this was guessed to be an oxidised Borges 1955. This faded rapidly in the glass. 88/100. 15-Feb-16. Pop ā€™nā€™ pour.

Mg82 Cloudy, but tasted better than it looked, and was soft and smooth. Very pale and browning in colour that made it look older than its years. Fruits thinning and it faded fast after poring. Decanted 8.5 hrs.

Mg82: cloudy brown, 20% opaque. Palate thin, light, harmless, with some orange.
