1983 Graham

Mature red, 80% opaque. Fresh fruit salad on the nose, sweet cherries in syrup but with attractive grren leaves. Sweet fruit on the palate, generous but balanced; powerful acidity cuts through the sweet fruit with peppery tannins providing zing and sparkle. Sweet, fruity and nicely balanced. Big fruit flavours on the aftertaste and a huge finish with delicious green tones on the very long finish. Very drinkable port, still with plenty of time ahead of it. 89/100. 25-Feb-16. Decanted 24 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
