Agreed, but what about the question of how it came to be and why it was labelled Reserve rather than Colheita?

Back prior to the 1950s it was very common for Colheitas to be labeled as Reserve. That was one of the two names allowed by the IVP. British shippers almost never used the Portuguese word Colheita and just about always used the word RESERVE along with the vintage date and even into the 1990s that rang true.
