Bottled 2013.
It had thrown a bit of sludge so I decanted it. It looks pale pink in the decanter and glass but when I look through the glass onto a white surface it looks brown, mahogany you might say. The nose is a bit odd, spirit and varnish, somehow reminiscent of being around oil painting. The palate is sweet and pleasant with just a hint of the varnish. Fruity but not really like anything I can put my finger on. Perhaps those fruit wines which 'the good life' crowd made. Not very long, or short.
I have no idea what to make of this wine. If I drank more Coleheitas I might understand them better, but when I do drink them I always sort of wish it was a 'proper' vintage port. Twelvty points.
