50 years ago, the 1966 vintage was born. A few of us gathered at The Boot & Flogger to discuss the vintage.

40% opacity, red-brown, slight clouding. Nose of chocolate. Wonderful syrupy mouthfeel, cherries and candy, bubblegum. Great balance. And also some spiciness in there.

Corney & Barrow. Deep mature brick-red, 60% opaque. Gentle nose with mature fruit that is slightly spiced but surprisingly subdued for Graham. Nicely textured but lacking flavour at first. Gentle fruit that eventually shows lively cinnamon and nutmeg wrapped around sweet redcurrants. Fabulous cinnamon-led finish, but the finish is short and the whole experience leaves you feeling slightly disappointed. 89

G66. Red, 40% opaque. Oleaginous, mid weight, with a hint of white pepper.
