50 years ago, the 1966 vintage was born. A few of us gathered at The Boot & Flogger to discuss the vintage.
1966 Croft
Re: 1966 Croft
40% opacity, red-brown. A little too sugary. Lacking balance. Still very drinkable though!

Re: 1966 Croft
Slightly cloudy, dark butterscotch colour; 50% opaque. Butterscotch and raspberry nose, quite like a crème brulee with a sharp raspberry coulis. Sweet fruit and a balanced entry that brings an elegant palate. The palate grows and develops nicely to become sweet and fragrant. Gentle sweet fruit aftertaste, sweet and sticky at first, gentle elegance. A touch sticky. 89

Cr66. Dark red, 50% opaque. Palate slightly rough and acidic. Good mature Port, but at this tasting “the weakest yet”.
