50 years ago, the 1966 vintage was born. A few of us gathered at The Boot & Flogger to discuss the vintage.
1966 Sandeman
Re: 1966 Sandeman
25% opacity, red-brown. Silky smooth, syrupy, sweetness which is candied/honeycomb. No hint of tannins left here, and a sense the structure may not hold out much longer.

Dark amber-orange, 40% opaque. Very little on the nose, slightly astringent. Thick in texture with lovely mandarin and satsuma flavours. A lovely fragrance and perfect balance. There is fabulous development with fruit, a touch of spice and layer after layer of complexity. A long, lingering and wonderful aftertaste. A truly sublime port at its peak. 97

S66. Red, 40% opaque. Palate light, with faint cherry. Good mature Port, but edging towards over-mature.
