2004 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red but with a touch of brick, opaque at the centre. Fragrant nose with ripe fruit and black chocolate and a bit of attitude. Smooth entry with brambles, rhubarb and a hint of lavender that together give a lovely perfume and initially hide the tannins that grip firmly on the mid-palate. The whole has a good balance and great complexity on the late palate. The aftertaste and finish are delicious. This is drinking well and promising more. Potentially 92/100 when at its peak. 89/100. 04-May-16
