NV Cockburn White (Fine White)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Golden yellow colour, 10% opaque. Interesting nose of beeswax polish and lavender oil, pronounced and well developed. Oily texture on the palate, a little pepper heat then generous peaches in light syrup. Hot on the aftertaste with a generous showing of slightly bitter grapefruit oil. A shade cloying on the end of the finish. 85/100. 27-Jun-16. Pop 'n' pour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026
