Russet brown in colour, looking very evolved; 20% opaque. A touch of oxidation on the nose, a little harsh but with some butterscotch and orange underneath. Light bodied entry, evolved and tertiary; a little tired but with some light orange flower and brown sugar flavours that grow nicely on the late palate. Warm sugar leads on the aftertaste before a very light, evolved set of burnt sugar flavours on the good length finish that has some nice green notes at the end. Light and elegant, this was served blind and was guessed to be Taylor Vargellas 1967. 87/100. Decanted 12½ hours.

Ck63. Orange, 20% opaque. Smooth and very long. But acid prominent, especially late palate.
