Filtered, bottling date not given. Offered at the BA Lounge in Terminal 5 at Heathrow.
Dark red, the colour of black cherry juice; opaque. Gentle blackcurrant fruit on the nose, faint and a little sour but very clean. Powerful entry with a huge wave of fruit followed by big tannins and intense acidity. This is a big port, and lurking late on the palate are some lovely flower perfume subtleties. A great mouthful on the palate and this continues onto the aftertaste and long finish. A delicious, fruit-forward LBV with plenty of structure and acidity which will allow it to mature over a decade or two - but why would you want to? It is delicious right now. 90/100. 12-Sep-16
