Wine society bottling. Cork is branded with a large "1966" and a barely visible "Quinta da Foz" in small letters above it.

D + 1-2hr: Deep red with orange rim in colour; soft, smooth and deep; some heat; quite sweet, hints of Xmas, raisins, and occasional cherry. Lovely, and much better than the bottle tasted at the '66 horizontal earlier this year.
Rating: vg+

D + 6hr: Now quite hot and sweet; after the initial heat while still very sweet there is still a big xmas cake flavour with light cherry running through it, perhaps with a hint of sherbet. Has now become a little more like the previous bottle (hot, sweet, sherbet) but the underlying rich xmas flavour provides more depth and power.
